About Early Years Niagara

The Children's Rights Interest Group of Niagara advocates for and monitors children's rights in Niagara to build government and citizen commitment to the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Niagara Children's Charter of Rights.

 

The Children's Rights Interest Group is comprised of representatives of the following organizations:

 

  • Brock University
  • City of Niagara Falls, Parks, Recreation and Culture Division
  • District School Board of Niagara
  • Early Childhood Community Development Centre
  • Early Years Niagara/Business Education Council of Niagara
  • Niagara Catholic District School Board
  • Niagara Region Children's Services
  • Niagara Region Public Health Department
  • Ontario Early Years Centres - Niagara Region
  • Town of Lincoln
  • Town of Pelham

 

The Children's Rights Interest Group advocates for child rights through increasing awareness of the Niagara Children's Charter of Rights and National Child Day. This year, the Children's Rights Interest Group is organizing a National Child Day Poetry Celebration to encourage youth to understand their fundamental rights and responsibilities and what they mean to them.
